The creative process of María JL Hierro originates from her concern to have the time to reflect and to question current human behaviors. Rush, changes and interpersonal relationships are some of the themes that conforms her projects.
Propone que qué y cómo pensamos y nos relacionamos depende, en parte, de la cantidad de palabras que escuchamos, leemos y aprendemos. Le interesan la lectura y la palabra como armas y armaduras, las dualidades, las capas intermedias y lo que vive en la entrelínea.
Analiza las frases y palabras con las que convive a través de una transformación y ampliación de sus conceptos iniciales. Juega con las letras y unas pocas variables autoimpuestas, como el color y la posición, y obtiene una poesía visual, conocida como tipoesía, simple y directa que concluye su mensaje en la mente del que la observa.

She proposes that what and how we think and relate to each other depends, in part, on the number of words that we hear, read and learn. She is interested in using words as weapons and armors, the intermediate layers and what lives between the lines, the dualities.
She analyzes the phrases and the words she coexists with, through a transformation and expansion of its initial concepts. Plays with the letters and a few self-imposed variables, such as color and position, to obtain a simple and direct visual poetry, known as typoetry, simple and direct message in the mind of the observant.
